Core Restore Physical Therapy

General Questions

Find clarity and reassurance as you begin your journey toward lasting wellness and pain-free movement.

Do you accept health insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance. This allows me to offer longer, one-on-one sessions and highly individualized care without the limitations insurance often places on time and treatment options. I’m happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your plan.

Do you accept Health Savings Accounts/ Flexible Spending Accounts

Yes, you can use your HSA or FSA funds to pay for your sessions.

What if I already tried pelvic floor therapy and it did not help?

Many of my clients come to me after trying pelvic floor therapy elsewhere without getting the results they hoped for. While pelvic floor physical therapy is highly effective, not all treatment approaches are the same.

My approach goes beyond the pelvic floor. Every evaluation includes a comprehensive assessment of how your entire body works together—including your posture, breathing mechanics, spine, hips, core, movement patterns, nervous system, and the mobility of your organs and surrounding connective tissues. I combine evidence-based pelvic floor rehabilitation with advanced manual therapy techniques, including visceral manipulation, to identify and treat the underlying causes of your symptoms rather than simply managing them.

For example, persistent bladder leakage isn't always just a pelvic floor muscle problem. It can be influenced by breathing mechanics, hip or core dysfunction, scar tissue, pressure management, or restrictions around the bladder and surrounding tissues. Likewise, pain with intercourse may be related not only to pelvic floor muscle tension but also to restrictions in the fascia and supporting ligaments of the bladder, uterus, or other pelvic organs that affect how these structures move and function. Low back pain frequently has contributing factors within the pelvis, hips, abdominal wall, and pelvic floor that deserve a comprehensive evaluation.

If previous therapy focused primarily on strengthening exercises or Kegels without looking at the bigger picture, there may still be important pieces of the puzzle that haven't been addressed. My goal is to understand your whole story, uncover the root cause of your symptoms, and create an individualized treatment plan that helps you achieve lasting results.

Do you only treat the pelvic floor?

Absolutely not. The pelvic floor doesn't function in isolation. It works together with your diaphragm, abdominal muscles, spine, hips, rib cage, and even your internal organs. That's why I evaluate your entire body to understand why your symptoms developed in the first place. Many of my clients come to see me with a primary concern that is not pelvic floor related.  I see many clients with low back pain, headaches, indigestion, joint pain, and chronic debilitating symptoms.

Why do you focus on finding the root cause instead of just treating symptoms?

Because lasting results come from understanding why your symptoms developed—not just where they hurt.

I've found that bladder leaks don't always start with the bladder, low back pain doesn't always originate from the spine, and pain with intercourse isn't always caused solely by the pelvic floor muscles. The body functions as one interconnected system, and the pelvic floor is constantly working with your core, diaphragm, hips, spine, nervous system, and even your internal organs.

That's why every evaluation I perform is comprehensive. I don't just assess your pelvic floor—I look at how your entire body moves and functions together. Depending on your symptoms, this may include evaluating your posture, breathing mechanics, core function, movement patterns, spine and hip mobility, nervous system regulation, and the mobility of your abdominal and pelvic organs.

I also incorporate advanced manual therapy techniques, including visceral manipulation, when appropriate. Restrictions within the fascia and supporting ligaments of organs such as the bladder or uterus can contribute to symptoms like pelvic pain, pain with intercourse, bladder dysfunction, and even persistent low back pain. These are often overlooked but can be important pieces of the puzzle.

My goal isn't simply to help you manage your symptoms—it's to understand your story, identify what's driving them, and create a treatment plan that addresses the root cause whenever possible. When we treat the body as an integrated system instead of focusing on one area in isolation, we can often achieve more meaningful and lasting results.

What is Visceral Manipulation?

Visceral manipulation is a gentle, hands-on therapy that helps improve the movement and mobility of your internal organs (like the bladder, bowels, and reproductive organs). These structures need to move freely with breathing and daily activity, and when they don’t, it can contribute to pain, tension, or dysfunction in the pelvis, back, or ribs. By restoring this natural movement, we can reduce strain on surrounding muscles and help your body function more comfortably and efficiently.

Do you work with men?

Yes, I work with men experiencing pelvic health concerns such as pelvic pain, urinary symptoms, or core dysfunction. These issues are more common than many realize, and my approach focuses on identifying the root cause and restoring normal movement and function so you can feel confident and comfortable in your body again.
